Drinking advice

When is the best time to drink Thrive Peak?

Thrive Peak was developed as a tasty alternative to a regular after sports recovery drink. It is best enjoyed within the first 1-2 hours after sports, when your body needs protein and carbs to recover. It's also just a healthy beer to enjoy whenever you'd like, since protein and carbs fit nicely within a balanced diet.

When is the best time to drink Thrive Play?

Enjoy a Thrive Play, literally any time of day when you feel like having a healthy beer. Can you have multiple? Yes! You can't really overdo it with the vitamins so feel free to have a couple in a row. Your new daily healhy habit can be a beer. How about that?

How many Thrive Peak beers should I have after sports?

The amount of protein you need depends on your own bodyweight and how long and intense your workout was. As guidance, consume as follows within the 1-2 hours after sports:

- light to moderate workout: 1 Thrive, 10g protein

- moderate to hard workout: 2 Thrives, 20g protein

- hard workout: 3 Thrives, 30g protein

Remember that you can't really consume too much protein. So in case of doubt, go ahead and grab that extra Thrive!

Is there a limit to how many Thrives beers I can drink in a day?

No. Protein and vitamins are part of a balanced and healthy diet. Everyone needs between 1 and 2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day. And you can't really have too much protein. The same goes for the vitamins B&D that you'll find in our Thrive Play beer. One beer contains 50% of the RDI, but you can't really overdo it. Also, there is no alcohol in Thrive, so in this case moderation is not required ;-)

Can I enjoy Thrive Peak without working out first?

Absolutely. You can perfectly enjoy a Thrive Peak without exercising first, since protein and carbs fit nicely within a balanced diet. And there is no alcohol so nothing can hold you back. And remember, there's also Thrive Play, a beer you can have any time, any day. We have beers at work on a daily basis. :)

What type of protein do you use in Thrive Peak?

Not all protein is created equal. To ensure the best recovery functionality, we opted for hydrolyzed whey protein which is digested easily, has a complete amino acid profile and a high BCAA content of 2.35 grams per 10 grams of protein. You say THRIVE is non-alcoholic, but the packaging says <0.3% ABV. Why is that?

This is because Thrive is not dealcoholized like many 0.0% beers. Instead, we use a special yeast to brew our beer that produces practically no alcohol during fermentation. This results in a well bodied, great tasting non-alcoholic beer.

Why do you call it non-alcoholic then? By law every beverage with less than <0.5% ABV is considered non-alcoholic. We are way below this limit.

Look at it this way: to consume the same amount of alcohol as in a regular 5% ABV beer, you would have to consume about 17 Thrives all at once... Please don't try that at home.

Did you know? There is also a tiny bit of alcohol in regular nutrition such as fruit juice, a ripe banana, kombucha, bread, …

How is Thrive brewed?

Both of our beers are made using the same brewing process as any other beer, with the same four basic ingredients: water, barley, hops and yeast. We use a special patented yeast to avoid alcohol.

The only real difference is that we add high-quality protein to aid your recovery for Thrive Peak. In the case of Thrive Play, we add 10 vitamins, such as vitamin B&D.
