Our Thrive Recovery IPA is a functional beer that promotes physical recovery after sports.
This functionality is what makes Thrive truly unique and is achieved through an optimal mix of carbs, protein and the lack of alcohol.

Developed by scientists.

We developed Thrive with the Leuven Institute For Beer Research (LIBR) which is a collaboration between the University of Leuven and the Flemish Institute for Biotechnology. LIBR is located in beer country Belgium and is at the forefront of innovation in the beer sector. As such it was the ideal partner to help develop our patented sports recovery beer. Approved by sports nutritionists.

Following the development phase, we had Thrive tested and approved by some of Belgium's top sports nutritionists. Including Stephanie Scheirlynck (Nafi Thiam, Greg Van Avermaet, Trek Segafredo, ...) and Gino Devriendt (Lotto Soudal, Red Flames, Knack Roeselare, ...) who confirmed that Thrive contains all the nutrients you need for recovery after sports, in the right proportions.

  • Protein & 2g BCAAs

Protein is crucial for the maintenance and growth of your muscles and thus for recovery after exercise.

But not all protein is created equal. To ensure the best recovery functionality, we opted for hydrolyzed whey protein which is digested easily, has a complete amino acid profile and a high BCAA content of 2.35 grams per 10 grams of protein. • Carbs

After exercise, fast absorbing carbs with a high glycemic index are essential to replenish the energy reserves (glycogen) in your muscles and be ready for the next effort.

The carbs in Thrive come from the barley that is used in the brewing process, making them all natural. No sugars or sweeteners are added.

  • No alcohol

We often get asked why we left out alcohol. The answer is simple.

Firstly, alcohol dehydrates while after sports you need to rehydrate to replace the fluids lost from sweating.

Secondly, alcohol is a toxin. When you consume it your body automatically reacts and starts breaking it down. This prevents the processing of lactic acid and also slows down protein synthesis in your muscles. In other words, it prevents your body from doing what it should be doing, namely recovering.

Great, but is it really a beer?

Thrive is brewed using the same natural ingredients as any other beer. All we do is add protein for muscle recovery and use a special yeast to avoid the alcohol. The result? A great tasting beer, because that's exactly what it is.
